Dahn Yoga: kneeling back bend
Tips: Do not overexert yourself with this exercise if you have back pain. Do not perform this exercise if you have hypertension.
(This is Dahn Yoga exercise for one’s enhanced flexibility)
- Kneel with your feet flexed and your buttocks resting on your heels.
- Grasp your ankles with your hands. Inhale and raise your waist while tilting your head back. Simultaneously contract your anus and open your chest.
- Return to original posture as you exhale.
- Inhale and repeat STEP 2.
- Hold you breath. Raise your left arm to touch your left ear and tilt your upper body to the right. Follow your fingertips with your eyes. Return to STEP 1 as you exhale.
- Switch arms and repeat.
