Dahn Yoga practice on neck massage

A wide and flat muscle, shaped like a triangle, which covers the upper and back part of the neck and shoulders.

  1. Rub your palms together quickly to create heat. Lower your head and use your fingertips and palms to slowly squeeze and massage the back of your neck until the area has become warm and relaxed.
  2. Then roll your head clockwise to the right and around to the left very slowly in a circular motion.
  3. Repeat in a counterclockwise circular motion.
  4. Cross your left arm over your chest, and place your hand on the trapezius muscle on the right side of your upper back.
  5. Massage it slowly with your fingertips. Then move your hand down your shoulder and arm, slowly massaging along the way.
  6. Repeat on the other side.

This stimulates the stomach meridian and relieves stagnant energy

  1. These acupressure points are located just below the knee, slightly to the outside of the shin bone, and in between the meeting point of the tibia and fibia bones.
  2. Practitioners of Eastern Medicine believe that stimulating these acupressure points enhances longevity.
  3. Patting these points aids digestion, and alleviates headaches, circulatory, and other problems in the legs, as well as respiratory, cardiovascular, and nasal conditions.
  4. Sit on the floor with your legs in front of you, feet shoulder width apart, and knees bent comfortably.
  5. Make a loose fist with each of your hands.
  6. Using the pinky side of your fists, pat the St 36 acupressure points 100 times.
