Easy A gives inspiration through high school comedy

People interested in dahn yoga may find the movie Easy A to be an inspiration as well as a modern twist on the age-old theme of personal development in the high school environment. The movie is a retelling of the classic book The Scarlett Letter, except that this one involves teenagers and a purportedly promiscuous high school girl. This funny film is sure to provide a comedic stress relief at the end of a long working day.

Emma Stone stars as Olive Penderghast, who listens to "Pocketful of Sunshine," a smart, albeit slightly nerdy girl who enjoys being carefree. She lies to her friend about having lost her virginity to a boy and the rumors start to fly at their high school. Amanda Bynes stars as an uber-religious girl named Marianne who is full of judgment and condemnation for Olive.

Olive takes her new reputation in strides and even wears a red-lettered A on her clothes. This is really about as close as this movie comes to resembling The Scarlett Letter, however the film is a funny one and does a nice job of entertaining audiences while providing an inspirational storyline of self discovery in a California suburban high school.

Babe, an inspirational film with a pig as the hero

Who says that movies about pigs can't be inspirational? Who says that a pig can't talk and rally together the other animals on a farm? The movie Babe proves that both of these things are possible and for people interested in yoga who are also looking for a fun family film, there is nothing better than this classic pig-talking movie. Those seeking life balance should certainly make time for stress-free comedies at the end of a hard-working day.

Babe is a newly arrived pig on the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Hoggett. He lives with a sheepdog named Fly and her other puppies. Babe is curious and talkative and often gets into trouble. However, his heart is always in the right place and he is a smart little pig who ends up helping the Hoggett's in a very big way.

This 91 minute film grossed over $254 million. It featured a triplet of squeekily-talking mice throughout several frames in the movie, and it is an adapted version of the book called Babe: The Gallant Pig.

Babe went on to make a sequel called Babe: Pig in the City. The first film almost won an Academy Award for Best Picture, but ultimately lost out to another inspirational movie – Braveheart.

Notting Hill mixes geographic boundaries for inspirational romantic comedy

Notting Hill is the inspirational romantic comedy about a woman from Beverly Hills who falls in love with a man from Notting Hill. Followers of Dahn Yoga are often attracted to stories of personal development and Notting Hill is sure to provide laughs along with a story in which people are forced out of their comfort zones. One can alternate between watching inspirational movies and Dahn Yoga DVDs, as a way to stay motivated and inspired.

The movie, directed by Roger Michell and written by Richard Curtis, stars Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.

Grant plays Will Thacker, a bookshop owner in Notting Hill, England, who falls in love with mega-movie star Anna Scott, played by Roberts. Thacker must take steps out of his naturally awkward and quiet comfort zone in order to be part of Scott's life.

At times, the disparity is too much and the couple's romance is put on hold. Thacker is unsure whether or not he can handle being with such a famous person recognized the world over.

However, in the end, love triumphs in typical romantic comedy fashion and there is even the promise of marriage and family in this highly enjoyable and ultimately inspirational film.

Girl falls into pool, saved by 9-year-old brother

Dahn yoga aims to provide its practitioners with spiritual and personal development. Many yoga enthusiasts find inspiration in stories of others who have acted as heroes in time of need.

One example of a young hero is Tristin Saghin, who is only 9-years-old, according to ABC News.

When Tristin went to visit his grandmother in Mesa, Arizona, his two-year-old sister fell into a pool and was found floating. As Tristin's mother and grandmother called for help, the boy performed CPR on his sister.

The girl started to breathe after a few minutes and is now recovering well at a hospital.

"I couldn't imagine what was going through his mind. Here he is, in a situation where most of us, if we had a family member in that position, as parents we tend to really panic and be concerned. I tell you, we really give kudos out to him," Mesa Fire Department spokesman Captain Forrest Smith told the news source.

As for Tristan, he says that he went running outside and he knew what he was doing. He had learned CPR from watching television.
